Customized business assistance

To keep our economy thriving and encourage entrepreneurship, Pinellas County Economic Development has implemented an innovative Business Assistance Partnership with many of the county's municipalities and their respective Chambers of Commerce. The purpose is to provide information on starting and/or growing a business in Pinellas County and its partnering communities using a Business Assistance Partnership Specialists (BAPS). The Specialist's perform as information conduits to link businesses with solutions for their needs. They gage attitudes, opinions and concerns of employers - such as permitting, training, health insurance, workers' compensation, government regulations and financing -- through ongoing, on-site business visitations and surveys. When an issue arises, the partnership works diligently to ensure that relevant available resources are being leveraged to the greatest extent possible.
