It’s Hot in February: The St. Petersburg-Clearwater-Tampa Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) is One of the America’s Hottest Cities for Expansion and Relocation. Expansion Management surveyed 70 of the industry’s most prominent site selection consultants in order to find out which cities their clients found the most attractive when it came to selecting an expansion or relocation site in 2003. The consultants were asked to rank the best of the 370 MSAs, and the results placed the St. Petersburg-Clearwater-Tampa MSA 26th on this prestigious list. Competitive Grants are Available to Host Professionals from Eurasia for 3-6 Months though the Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) Program, a Department of Commerce initiative. SABIT grants help foster relationships between export-ready small and medium enterprises with potential customers, distributors, or partners in Eurasia. U.S. host companies also receive assistance from interns in areas such as market access, certification, customs, taxation, logistics, forming contacts, and accessing marketing data. Congratulations to the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. During 2003, St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) experienced a 60% increase in passenger growth over 2002, making it the leading airport in the state and one of the top airports in the nation for growth.
